January Transfer Window: 6 Fanbases That Need a Big Move the Most
Every set of fans has expectations for their team before the season begins. At this point in the campaign fan emotions will range from clamoring for change or being totally satisfied.
The teams on this list are not in dire need of change but—considering the fans expectations, last seasons performances and this seasons performances—these fans need a big move.
While fans of the smaller teams like the Blackburn Rovers have obviously stated their intent for change, they do not make up this list.
To make a big move, teams need to be capable of attracting quality players and paying the money for them. Those are the type of teams on this list.

Lyon Fans
1 of 6It has been three years since Lyon were dominating Ligue 1 with seven straight titles. The team has managed to remain in the top three in all the seasons since but they are not the force they used to be.
At the moment, a fourth different Ligue 1 champion since Lyon's last triumph looks likely with PSG leading the way and certain to strengthen their squad.
Lyon is still a regular in the Champions League but they are no longer the dark horse favorites of old. All is not lost, and things could definitely be worse, but the Lyon fans would love to see some major moves that could propel the team back to domestic dominance and to make its European opponents wary.
Arsenal Fans
2 of 6Arsenal has done a good job of rebounding from a horrendous start to the season. The Premier League title is still out of reach and the first opponent in the Champions league knockout round is a pretty solid AC Milan squad.
Many Arsenal fans have been calling for a big move for some time now and Arsenal should be able to do that.
Arsenal needs some silverware this year and fans may rest easier if they see a big move being made. It would be seen as a signal of intent that the organization will put everything into getting at least one of three major trophies still up for grabs.
Inter Fans
3 of 6Inter has struggled so far this season and while the ship has seemingly been righted there is still a long way to go.
Inter currently stands fifth in the league, eight points away from league leaders AC Milan. They also have a pretty tough tie against Marseille in the Champions League.
A big move from Inter would be welcome by the fans as they seek to return to the top of the league and make another big push in Europe.
Malaga Fans
4 of 6Malaga came into the season with high expectations and they have not been fulfilled so far. A Champions League position is one goal and possibly some silverware in the Copa Del Rey.
The team made some big changes over the summer, but a seventh place position right now is not good enough. More changes for this team might not be a good thing but it could be that one big player that helps carry the team to its goals.
Malaga fans will want to see some results for all the financial spending and while spending more does not guarantee success, getting a quality player could alleviate fears.
Chelsea Fans
5 of 6Chelsea is fourth place in the league right now but Arsenal and Liverpool lie in wait to overtake them.
The team has been linked with a variety of big name players since the summer but there has been nothing official. Juan Mata came in the summer and has provided a spark to the team and another new addition could do that too.
Chelsea fans will not want to slip any further down the table and they would also want the team at its strongest in what should be a tough Champions League match-up with Napoli.
Atletico Madrid Fans
6 of 6Atletico Madrid may not have more money to spend after shelling out on Falcao over the summer, but if they do the fans would surely like to see it spent.
This team has been extremely disappointing this season and lie in 10th position in the league. Every time the team seems to be making progress they slump back down.
In Europe Atletico Madrid has done well, but with the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United as possible opponents in the latter stages makes things that more difficult.
Los Colchoneros fans need some spark at this point in the season and a big move could be one of those things.
