Week 17 Fantasy Rankings: Wide Receiver Rankings

Ryan LesterDec 28, 2011

Here’s the LestersLegends’ Week 17 2011 fantasy football wide receiver rankings.

The Best

1. Calvin Johnson @ Green Bay:  Johnson as an outside chance of averaging 100 yards and a touchdown per game.

2. Roddy White vs. Tampa Bay:  Tampa’s secondary is so bad (24th in yards per game allowed and tied for 30th in touchdowns allowed) that White should have a field day.

3. Victor Cruz vs. Dallas:  Eli Manning is putting up monster numbers this year, and it’s Cruz (1358 yards, eight touchdowns) who is doing the most damage.

4. Stevie Johnson @ New England: Johnson's averaging 83.4 yards with two touchdowns in his past five games. The Patriots can’t defend the pass.

5. Wes Welker vs. Buffalo:  Welker is 115 yards away from a top ten single-season receiving yards season. Caught 16 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns the last time they met.

6. Steve Smith @ New Orleans:  Smith was a disaster in Week 16, but has the fourth most receiving yards in the league. He caught three passes for 79 yards and a score in the first meeting.

7. Marques Colston vs. Carolina:  It’s pick your poison with all of New Orleans’ weapons. Colston has been one of the top poisons of late.

8. Larry Fitzgerald vs. Seattle:  Fitzgerald is averaging 106.3 yards with two touchdowns in his past three games. Fitzgerald ranks fifth in the league in receiving yards.

9. Julio Jones vs. Tampa Bay:  The Bucs are terrible, and Julio has it easy with White, Tony Gonzalez, and Turner taking up so much attention.

10. Percy Harvin vs. Chicago:  Game on for Percy. He is so much more productive when Adrian Peterson is out.

11. Demaryius Thomas vs. Kansas City: Thomas is averaging 103.5 yards with three touchdowns in his past four games.

12. Miles Austin @ New York Giants: Austin has scored in three straight games since his return.

13. Hakeem Nicks vs. Dallas: Nicks should have a much better time away from Revis Island.

14. Dez Bryant @ New York Giants: Bryant has scored in three of his past four games and five of his past seven.

15. Brandon Marshall vs. New York Jets:  It's a tough matchup, but he had 109 yards the last time he faced the Jets. He’s also scored in three straight games.

16. Laurent Robinson @ New York Giants: Robinson was invisible last week, but has been one of the top fantasy wide receivers since Week 4 with a nose for the end zone.

17. DeSean Jackson vs. Washington: He’s been solid in two of the past three games, and I anticipate he finishes strong.

18. Malcom Floyd @ Oakland: Floyd's averaging 82.0 yards with three touchdowns in his past four games.

19. Jeremy Maclin vs. Washington: Maclin scored last week and could be asked to do more with Shady banged up.

20. Darrius Heyward-Bey vs. San Diego: Heyward-Bey is averaging 101.0 yards in the past three games.
