NFL Playoff Scenarios: Denver Broncos Will Be Full of Playoff Surprises

The Seattle Seahawks proved that logic has no place in the playoffs last year. It's the Denver Broncos turn to defy all odds and get a win in the postseason. 

It's time to get ahead of ourselves as we all but guarantee that a team who has not yet clinched a playoff berth will not only do that this weekend, but will also get another win right after. 

It's even time to dispatch with what you think you know about football, because such things will only serve to confuse you when you consider the Denver Broncos. Looking at the NFL landscape and playoff scenarios, I am giddy with what looks to be a humbling winter for a famed contender. 

Week 17

Here is what will happen in week 17, in a nutshell. The Broncos will see Kyle Orton and the Kansas City Chiefs. In spite of a Tim Tebow that is running cold, the Broncos get the win for the same reason they have garnered a bunch in the second half of the season, defense. 

The Steelers will be playing for pride, position and the chance to play the Broncos. Although they win because the Browns just aren't that good. 

Wild-Card Round

That will set up a match that the Steelers don't want with a hobbled Ben Roethlisberger taking the field. There is no telling what shape he will be in after a couple weeks of must-win games on a bum ankle. 

With the offense battered, the Broncos defense will match wits for what should be a low scoring affair for the home Denver crowd to enjoy. And that, as you all know, is when things get silly. 

The Broncos late drive will be chalked up to another Tebow miracle, but really it will be a Broncos defense that will pressure a hobbled Big Ben. It will be the pressure that keeps the game close enough for such miraculous measures. 

It will be the defense that once again shocks the world.
