NFL Week 7 Live Fantasy Football Start 'Em Sit 'Em Lineup Advice and Latest Injury Updates

Gary DavenportOct 25, 2026, updated 2 min ago

We're only just now about to hit the halfway point of the fantasy football regular season. But we are 100 percent of the way to wacky-land already—because 2026 has been a year y'all.

Sure, some things have gone according to plan—Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba have been as advertised. But between big names who have come nowhere near meeting expectations and a constantly-expanding list of injuries, for every fantasy manager who is 4-2 and all smiles there are two treading water—or reaching for a life preserver.

Fortunately, that's just what this hit is—a set of fantasy football floaties. Keep it here for the latest injury updates, player news and some recommendations for starts you just have to have steering the ship and sits who should be thrown overboard.

Sleeper Alert

Vikings Buccaneers Football

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will get quarterback Baker Mayfield back for Sunday's tilt with the Carolina Panthers. But the team will be without the services of top wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, who is in the concussion protocol.

That could mean an increase in target share for rookie wideout Ted Hurst, who showed some rapport with Mayfield before the latter injured his thumb.

Full Workload for Josh Jacobs

Normally, one might expect the Green Bay Packers to ease Josh Jacobs in in his first game action of the season. After all, Jacobs has barely practiced and hasn't played a game this season.

But when you're averaging less than three yards a carry and under 60 yards a game on the ground as a team, "eased in" goes out the window.

Jacobs isn't without risk, but he's on the RB2 radar in Week 7.

Puka Nacua Update

More than a few fantasy managers are antsy this week about the playing status of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, who is nursing a calf injury.

It sounds like Nacua is going to give it a go, but fantasy managers need a late-game pivot like Konata Mumpfield of the Rams, Tre Tucker of the Raiders or Cooper Kupp of the Seahawks (in a pinch) at the ready.

Jonah Coleman's Return Muddies Broncos Backfield

Jaguars Broncos Football

After sitting out four games with an ankle injury, Denver Broncos running back Jonah Coleman has been activated off injured reserve and will play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

JK Dobbins has been woeful as the team's lead back, averaging just 3.3 yards per carry. Coleman should eat into Dobbins' workload, with RJ Harvey maintaining his pass-catching role.

Because we didn't have enough murky backfields.

49ers Activate WR Christian Kirk from IR

With both Mike Evans (Achilles) and Deebo Samuel Sr. (hamstring) ruled out for Week 7, the Niners need bodies at wide receiver.

The team is getting at least one player back--Christian Kirk is expected to play Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

The question is how much Kirk will play in his first game action of the season. But he's at least on the desperation "flex" radar.

Giants RB Cam Skattebo to Resume Lead Back Duties

After a grand total of zero touches last week against the Saints, Cam Skattebo is expected to resume lead back duties Sunday against the Houston Texans.

With that said, Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary are going to mix in as well, and muddied backfields tend to make fantasy managers miserable.

Skattebo is a boom/bust RB2--at best.

Jets RB Breece Hall Unlikely to Play

The bad news is that New York Jets running back Breece hall is unlikely to play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins due to the quad injury that has sidelined him for multiple weeks.

The good news is that means one more week of Braelon Allen for the managers who have rostered him.
