It's only the third week of the 2026 NFL season, and already fantasy managers are neck-deep in trials and tribulations.

The list of injured stars is as long as it is depressing. Many more haven't sniffed preseason expectations in the early-going. Week 3 brings with questionable tags galore. An international game in Brazil. And for the unfortunate folks sitting at 0-2, something of a must-win week before we even get out of September.

But overcoming adversity is one of the keys to fantasy success, and we're here to do just that. Keep it locked here throughout the morning for injury updates, player advice and all the information you need to make Week 3 a winning one.

Week 3 Inactives

  • WR Nico Collins, Houston (hamstring)
  • WR Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams (abdomen) [Doubtful]
  • RB Jonah Coleman, Denver (ankle)
  • QB Caleb Williams, Chicago (hamstring)

49ers WR Mike Evans Plans to Play vs. Cardinals

Stop me if you've heard this one before--the San Francisco 49ers have been hit hard by injuries.

Insert power station joke here.

However, while fantasy managers should have a late-window Plan B at the ready, it appears the Niners will have wide receiver Mike Evans against the Arizona Cardinals.

Panthers WR Jalen Coker Expected to Play

Two weeks into the 2026 season, Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker has been a surprise star and a top-five wide receiver in PPR points.

Coker injured his ankle last week, but the young wideout is expected to play Sunday in Cleveland.

Given how productive he has been, if Coker's active he needs to be in fantasy lineups.

Titans RB Tyjae Spears a Game-Time Decision

Frankly, given the nasty weather in New York and the general state of the Titans offense (which is bad), Spears is nothing more than a desperation "Flex" play against the Giants.

For that matter, Tony Pollard and Tennessee's wide receivers should probably be avoided where possible.

Good News for Jayden Daniels

When Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels dislocated his left elbow (again) last week in Dallas, it looked like the third-year signal-caller would be out a while.

Daniels is going to miss time, but the hope is that he'll sit a few weeks at the outside.

It's potentially good news for not just Daniels managers but also folks with Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs.

Raiders TE Brock Bowers Expected to Play vs. Saints

This is genuinely welcome news for fantasy managers who invested an early pick in Raiders tight end Brock Bowers.

After surprise knee surgery cost Bowers the first two games of the 2026 season, the third-year pro is expected to play Sunday in New Orleans.

Steelers WR Michael Pittman Expected to Play

Hey! A wide receiver who is actually going to play!

After missing Week 2 with a foot injury, Steelers wide receiver Michael Pittman is expected to be out there Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Of course, given the sad state of the Pittsburgh passing game, that may not matter that much.

Sit Ravens WR Zay Flowers

Even if Flowers is active, fantasy managers with any kind of Plan B would be well-served to to use it.

Hamstrings are notoriously easy to re-aggravate, and the playing surface in Brazil is a mess.

This feels like trouble just waiting to happen. Especially with a 4 PM kick time.

A Mess in Brazil

This analyst won't lie--this makes me nervous about just about fantasy-relevant player participating in this game, from Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry of the Ravens to Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb of the Cowboys.

It's not just risk of injury. Scoring points won't be any easier if guys can't make a cut without slipping.

Bears QB Caleb Williams Out 3-4 Weeks

The Bears have tried to paint Caleb Williams' injury in a positive light, but it appears that Williams will miss around a month with a Grade 2 hamstring strain.

That doesn't just affect fantasy managers with shares of Williams--Luther Burden III, Rome Odunze, Colston Loveland and even D'Andre Swift all take a hit.

Remember Colston Loveland? He was supposed to be a thing this year.

Puka Nacua's Not Playing

On one hand, the knowledge that Puka Nacua's injury isn't more serious and that he could be back for Week 4 is somewhat encouraging.

On the other, this will be the second straight week that fantasy managers will be without their first-round pick over the summer, and abdominal injuries can linger.

Nacua hasn't officially been ruled out of Sunday's game, but don't wait until tonight to get him out of lineups. He's not playing.

Davante Adams should see approximately all the targets ever again.
