Breathlessly billed as "two of the most exciting fighters on planet earth," Conor Benn and Ryan Garcia strolled to the stage from opposite ends – with Benn wearing a set of Everlast overalls and Garcia looking studious in a warm-up jacket and dark-rimmed glasses.

Zuffa champ Jai Opetaia and challenger Noel Mikaelian were first on the stage in advance of Saturday's secondary bout.

Garcia dismissed a claim that he was unprofessional for missing Tuesday's planned face-off meeting, saying "I did what I wanted to do."

Benn said, "I don't care what he does."

Jai Opetaia is in the building in Las Vegas.

The 31-year-old Australian is widely considered the best 200-pound fighter in the world, but he ditched his sanctioning body title belts to claim superiority as Zuffa Boxing's inaugural cruiserweight champion in March.

Benn was one of the new promotion's first high-profile signings earlier this year.

Conor Benn hasn't fought at or below 147 pounds since 2022.

He'll be required to hit the number at Friday's weigh-in. And he's 15-0 with 10 KOs as a pro at 147 pounds or less.

But he's already on record saying it'll probably be the last time he does so.
