For NHL fans, it's Christmas in July.
The league's annual free-agent frenzy begins when the clock strikes noon ET, instantly making players with expiring contracts available to all 32 teams.
Also intriguing are trade possibilities involving players still under contract who have indicated a desire, privately or publicly, to be moved elsewhere.

Players to Watch
- Jason Robertson: The Dallas forward is a restricted free agent but hasn't agreed to a long-term deal with the Stars. He reportedly nixed a trade to Seattle that would have given him a long-term contract worth $15 million per season.
- Connor Hellebuyck: Winnipeg's three-time Vezina winner expressed discontent with the franchise's direction during season-ending interviews, and GM Kevin Cheveldayoff said he's listening to would-be trade offers for the goalie.
- Dylan Larkin: Detroit's captain went all-in with a trade request several weeks ago and has been linked to several teams in rumors, but GM Steve Yzerman said there's no guarantee that the player's request will be accommodated.
- Zach Werenski: The 2026 Norris Trophy winner looks to be on his way out of Columbus. Columbus and Dallas had a trade all done, but Werenski vetoed it on Tuesday.
