Oregon Football: Check out the Ducks' Nike Pro Combat 2012 Rose Bowl Uniforms
This college football season will be remembered for a lot of things, but wacky uniforms may be the most memorable. The majority of them were absolutely horrible and made the game unwatchable, but some of them were pretty cool looking.
One thing we can agree on is that there is absolutely no team better at picking out cool uniforms than the Oregon Ducks. Their flashy fashion wear always seems to compliment their high-scoring and flashy offense.
The Ducks will once again release a new uniform when they take on the Wisconsin Badgers in the BCS Rose Bowl. They have once again teamed up with Nike to create them:
"Nike’s relationship with the University of Oregon represents a forward-thinking approach to innovation and design. Our goal is to help build better athletes by providing them with state-of-the-art-innovation combined with a deep knowledge and understanding of their heritage” said Todd Van Horne, Nike’s Creative Director for Football. The latest Nike Pro Combat system of dress uniform delivers more on-field performance benefits than ever before while pushing the limits on creativity and design. The Oregon Ducks truly represent Nike's approach in developing athletes from the inside-out.
"
The uniforms themselves will be a dark greenish color. The numbers on the front and back of the jersey will be black with yellow outline. Although the main thing that has people talking are the helmets, as they do very much resemble Dark Vadar.
I'm not sure if these new uniforms will help the Ducks score more points in a game that will feature a ton of them or help the defense slow down Montee Ball. But I do know they will once again look good in one of the biggest games of the year.
