Floyd Mayweather Strikes Plea Deal and Has All Criminal Charges Against Him KO'd
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Floyd Mayweather has jumped one of the biggest hurdles in his quest to land the mega fight with Manny Pacquiao in striking a plea deal in his criminal cases, ending all the legal problems that had a chance of holding Money May back.
Now with the legal troubles out of the way, Mayweather can now put his all into getting the Pacquiao fight to come to fruition and give 2012 the biggest fight in our generations time.
Now Bob, Arum will be the last hurdle Mayweather will have to get over to get what is to be the biggest grossing fight in history in the ring.
Although there is a slight chance Mayweather could see some jail time as part of the plea deal, a fine is the more likely case since he took a plea deal.
With news of Pacquiao stating that he will take less money than Mayweather to make sure the fight happens, fans can finally be more optimistic that this fight will finally get signed, and the three years of waiting to get this fight in to action will pay off.
The plea deal will drop five total misdemeanor charges and four felony charges steaming from an altercation with his former girlfriend, Josie Harris, that threatened the rest of Mayweather's career and a separate incident with a security guard over parking citations.
With a major win in the legal ring, this now sets up a chance to land his biggest win in the boxing ring against Pacman.
