Clippers vs. Lakers: Blake Griffin and Company Introduce Lake Show to Lob City

The Lakers being forced to watch Chris Paul orchestrate a dunk show against them in the Staples Center put salt in the wound David Stern inflicted when he vetoed the trade that would have sent CP3 to the Lakers.

Lob City was in full effect, and it's clear that the Clippers are now one of the most exciting teams in the league.

It's only preseason and this game says nothing about where these teams stack up in the conference, or even in the city of Los Angeles.That being said, the Clippers sent the message loud and clear.

Blake Griffin and Co. have formally introduced themselves to the Lakers and the rest of the league. They aren't elite yet, but they are the hottest ticket in LA and they are a force to be reckoned with.

The barrage of dunks they unleashed on the Lakers proves they've got the means to bring down the house at any given moment.

This electrifying performance is undoubtedly a foreshadowing of more to come. Win or lose, Paul and the Clippers will have the crowd on their feet.

With the young core of talent they've assembled, it's not going to take long for them to build around the elite group and turn this dazzling dunk show into something special.

They're a playoff team right now. Give these guys a few years of playing together and not only will the excitement increase exponentially, they're going to be a serious contender in the West.
