Liverpool FC Transfer Talk: Reds Enter Race To Sign Scott Allen & Rory Donnelly
This weekend, Liverpool entered the race to sign two very highly-rated sensations.
Liverpool were reported to be keen on Dundee United mid-fielder, Scott Allen, according to The Daily Mail. Although the 20-year-old has played only six matches with the team, he is already rated as one of the best talents ever produced by the Scottish club.
While Dundee had reportedly agreed to a £400,000 transfer fee for the player from former Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson's West Bromwich Albion, an interest from the Reds could really cause some stir. If the Reds are really intent, they should be able to beat the competition. Allen has already played for Scotland at the U-21 level.

Even more intense is the Reds' interest in Rory Donnelly from Cliftonville F.C. of Northern Ireland, according to BBC. Rory had recently attracted a lot of interest from Premier League clubs like Swansea F.C. and Everton F.C., and now his tremendous form and spectacular goal scoring has sparked Liverpool's interest as well.
Donnelly may not be a household name, but the 19-year-old has interested Kenny Dalglish so much that the Liverpool gaffer reportedly called up the Cliftonville F.C. chairman, Gerard Lawlor, informing him of Liverpool's interest in the young player.
Lawlor now expects Liverpool to follow up their interest very soon, as Donnelly has already gone to Wales to discuss personal terms with Swansea after the Irish club accepted their bid of £100,000.
Rory's future could still be up for grabs if Liverpool enter the race now as reported. Cliftonville F.C., who incidentally are also nicknamed "The Reds," want Rory's future to be sorted out as quickly as possible, as any indecision could affect the club's on-field performance.
