With a victory over Arsenal Sunday, Manchester City is a team destined to be Premier League champions in 2012.

Manchester City have not won a league title since 1968, back before the Premier League was even assembled. 

The Premier League's wealthiest team is now in a position to come up with a title this year after dominating Arsenal in a 1-0 victory for the men in light blue.

A David Silva goal 53 minutes into the match would be just enough to get Man City past the Gunners. The goal was Silva's fourth of the year. Man City now holds the top spot in the Premier League with 41 points in 16 matches.

This win comes against a Gunners team that was as hot as any team in the Premier League, as they were winners of seven of their last eight matches heading into this match of epic proportions.

Two of the wins came against both Fulham and Chelsea, with the 5-3 win over Chelsea coming on the road.

What makes this Man City team ever so dominant is their ability to make a mockery of opposing defenders.

The team's 50 goals is easily the most scored by any team in the league, as the team, meanwhile, has allowed just 15 all season in 16 matches.

Argentine-sensation Sergio Aguero and star Edin Dzeko have led the way offensively for the team, with a whopping 21 of the 50 goals for the team this season. The team has scored seven goals in its last three games, as the offense only continues to produce as the season goes on.

Man City has allowed just three goals in its last five matches and ultimately have one of the strongest back lines in English football.
