WWE News: Rumored TLC Opener, Cena on Fruity Pebbles Box, Mysterio Return Date

With less than 12 hours until the final pay-per-view of the year, today has a surprising amount of news.

Let's get right into it and start with the rumored TLC opener.

According to Wrestlenewz.com,

- Talk is that the Chairs Match for the World Heavyweight Title between Big Show and Mark Henry will open tonight’s WWE TLC pay-per-view.

"

This news has both pros and cons. The biggest pro for having this match open is because it will probably be the slowest paced match on the card. Opening with this match gets the crowd excited and leaves matches like Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett for later in the night.

Here is the con. The World Heavyweight Championship has always been No.2 to the WWE Championship. It is an important title and it should be on the back of the card out of respect.

The next topic I would like to discuss is Cena on the Fruity Pebbles Box.

Yes, there is actually a picture of John Cena on a box of fruity pebbles. It is unclear whether or not this was a fan made picture, but there is an update.

According to Wrestlenewz.com,

"

- A photo surfaced online this week of John Cena on the front of a Fruity Pebbles cereal box. WWE hasn’t announced a partnership with Post Cereals yet and there was some speculation that the photo was fan-created.

However, a fan asked Cena on Twitter this weekend if it was ironic that he was featured on the Fruity Pebbles box and he replied, indicating that it is indeed official. There were several other messages on Twitter this weekend hinting that Cena may be appearing on the cereal box for some kind of charity. We hope to have some kind of confirmation soon, whether or not Cena really is on the front of the box. Cena wrote back to the fan:

“Ironic? No. Turning a negative into a positive ..yes. rise above hate. By the way…I love fruity pebbles.”

If this cereal box cover is legitimate, you better believe it will make its way to WWE TV soon. I will post more on the story as it comes out.

The final topic I wish to talk about is Rey Mysterio's in ring return. As you know, Mysterio is currently out of action due to another knee injury.

In a WWE.com interview posted on Wrestlenewz.com, Mysterio reveals when he wants to return to the ring.

“I’m shooting for a date and that would be WrestleMania, I’m hoping. But there’s been a lot of damage to this knee and I wanna make sure that before I step in the ring that I know exactly my knee feels one hundred percent strong, healthy and that once I step in I’m ready to go full blast again for as long as I can go.”

Whether or not Mysterio will be able to compete at Wrestlemania is still unclear, but it would be great to see him on the grandest stage.
