Jimmer Fredette Video: Kings PG Compares He and DeMarcus Cousins to Rob and Big
The 2011-12 Sacramento Kings have one of the most outrageous and eclectic cast of characters an NBA roster has ever seen.
No wonder rookie point guard Jimmer Fredette thinks that his life would be must-see T.V. if he lived with sophomore center DeMarcus Cousins.
He believes it would be as funny as MTV’s Rob and Big, a reality show featuring a diminutive skateboarder and his massive bodyguard.
Cousins apparently told the gathered press that he wanted to move in with Jimmer at some point during the team’s media day and Jimmer mentioned it would be akin to that show.
Cousins also had a lot more ridiculous stuff to say according to the Associated Press staff.
After showing up looking thinner and more ripped than ever before, the big man joked,
"“I was eating candy. Ice cream. Pizza. Whole pizzas. When I went to New York, that’s all I ate,” Cousins said. “Pizzas, funnel cakes. I love gummy worms. Love fried food. Fried shrimp, fried fish, fried chicken. It was beautiful.”
"
Jimmer pointed out that his center is a funny guy, fun to be around and keeps the locker room upbeat. It’s obvious that they are both committed to improving the team and are going to make a great tandem this season.
I don’t know if their lives would be as ridiculous as Rob and Big’s, but it certainly seems that way after looking and listening to Cousins clown around at media day and hearing stories about his pranks and antics.
