NFL Week 15 Predictions: Projecting the Best Fantasy Football Starters

Zach KruseDec 15, 2011

The following players should be the top three fantasy football starters at each position for Week 15 of the NFL season:

Drew Brees, Saints

A red-hot Brees (over 1,100 passing yards and 10 total touchdowns over last three games) faces a Vikings secondary that couldn't stop the Golden Gophers' passing game right now.

Aaron Rodgers, Packers

The Packers are starting to run it a little more as the weather gets colder. But Rodgers is still a good bet for 300 yards and a couple of scores, especially against a Chiefs defense that has struggled against the pass of late.

Tom Brady, Patriots

It's hard not to like what the Broncos defense is doing during their unbelievable 7-1 stretch, but Brady has thrown 13 touchdowns and just one interception over the last five games. Do the Broncos have an answer for Rob Gronkowski?

Arian Foster, Texans

The Panthers are giving up the second most fantasy points to running backs this season, and Foster is averaging close to 25 total touches a game over his last three.

Chris Johnson, Titans

I'm sure he's still gaining your trust, and a 23-yard rushing effort last week certainly didn't help. But Johnson is facing the Colts' 30th-ranked fantasy run defense in Week 15, so you can expect him to rebound in a big way.

Ray Rice, Ravens

The Ravens are finally giving Rice the ball with some consistency (over 25 touches a game over his last four), and he's making the most of the opportunity. The Chargers run defense is middle of the pack but has been roughed up by good running teams this season.

Marques Colston, Saints

Someone has to be on the receiving end of Brees's big day in Minnesota, and that guy should be Colston. He should be able to run circles around the Vikings' injury-depleted secondary.

Hakeem Nicks, Giants

Nicks and Victor Cruz are benefiting greatly from the play of Eli Manning over the past month. Nicks leads the team in targets over the last three games, so it's reasonable to expect him to have another big game against Washington.

Jordy Nelson, Packers

Maybe a stretch here, as coverages could shift Jordy's way now that Greg Jennings is out two to three weeks. But Jennings' targets, especially in the red zone, are going to get redistributed elsewhere, and Nelson could now see one or two more scoring chances.
