Bulls Rumors: Dwight Howard and Players Chicago Is on the Hunt to Acquire
The Chicago Bulls are in the same boat as the Miami Heat right now—one piece away from potential greatness.
With Derrick Rose running the point, the Bulls will always have a chance to do great things but they need more. That’s where this shortened offseason frenzy comes into play.
Teams are rushing out like Christmas shoppers to grab the players they want, and Chicago is no different. The following players are on the Bulls Christmas wish list.
Dwight Howard—While the Bulls have not been going hard after Dwight Howard as of yet, there is still time to make this move.
There have been reports out of Chicago that the Bulls are interested in trading for Howard, but no offer has been sent that makes both sides jump for joy. Yet.
The Bulls would give up anyone besides Rose to get Howard, and that might be the kind of deal it takes to pry Howard from the Orlando Magic at this point.
Richard Hamilton—Last season’s biggest flaw was the lack of talent and depth at shooting guard for the Bulls. The simplest solution would be signing Rip Hamilton when he clears waivers.
While this fit seemed like a slam dunk for the better part of the last few days, Hamilton has tweeted that it will come down to three teams, not just the Bulls.
While every free agent deserves the right to test the waters, the idea that Hamilton would sign with anyone but the Bulls would be the stupidest move so far this season.
Josh Howard—Josh Howard is the versatile player that can play shooting guard when you need it or small forward when that time comes.
With his size and speed, his defensive skill sets would fit in well with that the Bulls do, but it would be his offensive production that added that extra power to a team needing that extra boost.
If the Bulls can keep Howard from signing with the Utah Jazz, they may steal one of the more underrated players on the market this season.
