He Was Built Up Properly

How many stars have been given a super push where they competed in the main event?

Out of those stars, how many actually managed to stay in the main event scene? None?

WWE is starting to realize they need to build stars up the correct way.

Dolph Ziggler is the current U.S. Champion and, in my opinion, has been booked great so far.

He Has Vickie Backing Him

When he first aligned himself with Vickie, it made fans want to boo him.

As a manager, Vickie could do the talking while Ziggler did the walking (wrestling).

Vickie has always helped superstars get over, which is why she is the perfect manager.

He Is the United States Champion

With the WWE Championship changing hands at nearly every pay-per-view, fans need some stability.

Thankfully, Dolph Ziggler offers that stability. He is currently the longest-reigning champion in the WWE, and that achievement is impressive.

He Was in No. 1 Contender Matches

When Dolph Ziggler demanded a shot at the WWE Championship, I immediately got excited.

Finally! The WWE is trying to push him into the main event!

Even though he didn't win his match, it is still worth noting.

His Promo Work

With Vickie's help, Dolph's mic skills have improved enough where he can finally do his own promos against top guys in the company.

To see him in the ring with mic workers like Alberto Del Rio, John Cena and The Miz, it made him look like a true main event superstar.

He Has Great Matches

Dolph Ziggler can definitely hang with the main event crowd.

Constantly Tweaking His Gimmick

Unlike Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler has perfected his timing for gimmick tweaks.

When he sees the opportunity to better his character, he does it.

He went from in-your-face to "perfection" to showoff.

On Raw, there is a lack of main event heels. Now that R Truth is suspended, it leaves The Miz, Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler.

Like or dislike him, one has to admit he is a high ranking heel.

Punk Will Need a New Challenger

With Alberto Del Rio on his way out of the main event, it leaves The Miz and Dolph Ziggler as opponents for CM Punk.

I think we will see CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship sooner rather than later.
