Girardi’s on the Hot Seat. It’s Do or Die in 2009

Joe Girardi missed the postseason in his first year in New York. That came after 13 years of making the postseason under Joe Torre. (1995-2007) The Yankees organization was very disappointed, especially since it was the last year of Yankee Stadium. The organization has done everything in their power to put a winner on the field next year. They went out and got Teixeira, Sabathia, and Burnett.

Once again the Yankees will have a huge payroll, even if it is lower then last years. You know that the Steinbrenner’s won’t put up with another season like they had in 2008. I’m sure a lot of fans feel that if he doesn’t make the postseason this year, then he should be immediately fired.

This clubs main goal is to win the World Series, but we all know that can’t be done every year. This team is going to have high expectations, so Girardi and the troops are going to have to step it up this year.
