Yankees All-Time Managers: Who Was the Best Yankee Manager?
The Yankees have such rich history and have won so many championships it’s hard to pick just one manager. Casey Stengel, Joe McCarthy, and Joe Torre are probably the best three managers the Yankees ever had. I would probably rank them in that order as well. Miller Huggins would be ranked 4th.
I would probably say that Casey Stengel was the best manager the Yankees ever had. To think that he won five consecutive World Series is just unthinkable. Sure..they had a lot less teams back then, but that is extremely impressive.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
He won seven WS and 10 AL Pennants during his 12 years as manager of the Yankees. McCarthy won the same amount as Stengel, but managed for four more seasons then Casey did. He won four consecutive instead of five, and won two less AL Pennants.
Mr. T would come in 3rd place. He made it to the playoffs every year from 1996-2007. This was also in a much larger league, then what Stengel and McCarthy managed in, so it makes it that more special. Torre was also the longest tenured manager under Steinbrenner, which says a lot about the guy. While managing the Yankees, he won 4 WS (three consecutive) and six AL Pennants during a 12-year span. Huggins comes in 4th place. I would say this because he won three WS and six AL Pennants in 12 years. So, he won one less championship then Torre and never won any consecutively.
The winners……
Casey Stengel- Won seven World Series (incl. five consec.), 10 AL Pennants (12 Seasons)
