NBA Trade Rumors: Ranking Trade Pieces Linked to Chris Paul from Worst to Best

With more and more Chris Paul rumors showing up every day, several names have been thrown around in rumors in an attempt to acquire the All-Star point guard.

Here's a look at the best options for the Hornets. In this case we won't be looking at the team options that may be speculated. Only players linked to Paul are being ranked.

6. Jeff Green

Green has been linked to Paul as a part of Danny Ainge's attempt to bring in an upgrade at the point. Green is talented, but Ainge likely regrets acquiring him and parting with Kendrick Perkins.

5. Pau Gasol

Gasol doesn't seem like a major chip the Hornets are looking for. He's will turn 32 years old this year and is coming off a miserable 2010-11 postseason.

4. DeAndre Jordan

The Clippers said they won't part with Jordan, but he's one of the guys that New Orleans has their eyes on. Bringing in a young guard and a young big man is what the Hornets are looking to do and Jordan certainly fits that bill.

3. Eric Gordon

Gordon is very talented and would be worth New Orleans acquiring as part of a package in any deal involving Paul. Unfortunately, the Clippers see too much in him to let go of him.

2. Rajon Rondo

Rondo is talented and Ainge is using him as the primary chip in an attempt to land Paul. You could do much worse than Rondo as your floor general and Boston floating him as a trade chip should seem intriguing to New Orleans, but they appear to have no interest in Rondo.

1. Stephen Curry

Curry is the guy the Hornets have had their eye on but naturally the Warriors say he's going nowhere anytime soon. Of all the guys linked to Paul in any way, he's really tho only young franchise-type player currently linked to Paul.
