WWE News: Fake WWE Promo Promotes Jericho's Return Prior to 1/2/2012

This news has seemingly slipped through the cracks.

According to WhatCulture.com, a promo for next Monday's Raw drops a huge hint that Y2J will be returning next week.

"On a newly released promo trailer for the three-hour Raw SuperShow on Monday (promoted as being The Slammy’s Awards Show) at 0:29 seconds the voiceover says, "Will a new challenger emerge to face WWE Champion CM Punk?” before a Y2J style 10 to 1 countdown begins.

The video then says "The Wait Is Over" and Chris Jericho’s fading voice proclaims "Best In The World of What I Do” before a white shadow of the Jericho pose is shown on screen before it fades.

If they did some research before posting that article, they would have discovered the promo is a fake. Although, this fake promo is very well done, it has a few fatal flaws.

First, they used the promo for last week's Raw. Second, the date in the title is for May not December.

The fact is, there is no way that the WWE would bring back someone of this magnitude during their Slammy Awards night. It would simply overshadow they event and make the whole night useless.

There is also the issue of Jericho's contract, as it's still speculated that he and the WWE are still not seeing eye-to-eye. So, once again we shall wait and see what happens hear and hope the WWE and Jericho can meet in the middle for one last go around.

However, if Jericho never wrestles again he should have no regrets. He has had a storied career and has nothing left to prove in the ring.
