NBA Rumors: Players Set to Get Big Offers in Free Agency

Matt ShetlerDec 7, 2011

The beginning of what is certain to be a busy free agent period is mere days away and while this class doesn't have many players that are max-deal worthy, there are more than a few guys set to cash in on big deals in the next few days.

Here's a quick look at just a few of the current free agents expected to profit the most.

Nene

He's become the most coveted player on the market and is set to cash in on a big deal. Currently, the Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors and New Jersey Nets look to be the front-runners to land Nene. The Indiana Pacers are also in the mix and a return to Denver seems unlikely but hasn't been ruled out.

Marc Gasol

Gasol is going to get paid and paid big. Memphis is going to match any offer so he won't be going anywhere, but he will be a lot richer.

Tyson Chandler

Another coveted big man in an overall weak market, Chandler is going to cash in on his impressive playoff performance. The Warriors and Nets are two of the more aggressive teams pursuing Chandler and his situation got a little more complicated since Chris Paul stated he may be willing to sign an extension with a team that would sign Chandler.

DeAndre Jordan

The Clippers have already said they would offer the restricted free agent a deal of $40 million.
