Champions League Matchday 6: Group-by-Group Breakdown, Preview (Video)

The Champions League group stage is set for a tense conclusion on Matchday 6, with the fates of some of Europe's finest still yet to be decided—including Premier League representatives Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Nine teams are already through to the last 16: Bayer Leverkusen, Arsenal, APOEL, Barcelona, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Benfica and Real Madrid.

The remaining seven places are still up for grabs. Here are the fixtures and a group-by-group rundown of the possible permutations (teams in CAPS already through).

Group A

Manchester City vs. BAYERN MUNICH, Villarreal vs. Napoli (Wednesday)

City's only hope of finishing above Napoli in second place is if they beat Bayern and Villarreal get at least a draw against the Italians.

Group B

INTER MILAN vs. CSKA Moscow, Lille vs. Trabzonspor (Wednesday) 

CSKA have to beat Inter to stand any chance, and hope Lille draw with Trabzonspor. Lille need to beat Trabzonspor to go through.

Group C

Basel vs. Manchester United, BENFICA vs. Otelul Gatali (Wednesday)

This one is simple. Basel need a win, United a draw. Both can pip Benfica to the top spot if the Portuguese side lose or draw against Galati.

Group D

Ajax vs. REAL MADRID, Dinamo Zagreb vs. Lyon (Wednesday)

To stand any chance of pipping Ajax, Lyon need to beat Zagreb and hope Ajax lose. They also need to score a lot of goals.

Group E

Chelsea vs. Valencia, Genk vs. BAYER LEVERKUSEN (Tuesday)

Chelsea need a win or a scoreless draw to go through. Valencia need a win or a scoring draw.

Group F

Olympiacos vs. ARSENAL, Borussia Dortmund vs. Marseille (Tuesday)

Marseille need to win, or draw and rely on Olympiacos not beating Arsenal.

Olympiacos will go through if they win and Marseille are denied victory in Dortmund. Dortmund's only hope is a heavy victory.

Group G

APOEL vs. Shakhtar, Porto vs. Zenit St Petersburg (Tuesday)

Porto need to beat Zenit at home to go through with APOEL.

Group H

BARCELONA vs. Bate Borisov, Viktoria Plzen vs. AC MILAN

Done and dusted.
