NFL Power Rankings: Stock Watch for Every Division

Chris TrapassoDec 5, 2011

Is the stock of your favorite team's division up or down after Week 13's action?

Let's take a look.

AFC East

The Bills were the only AFC East team to lose on Sunday. So the stock for the division has got to be up, right?

New England got out to a huge lead against lowly Colts, Andrew Luck's future employer, the Jets handled their business against the Redskins in Washington and man, did the Dolphins beat up on the Raiders or what?

Stock Unquestionably Up

AFC North

Although the Bengals were thrashed by the Steelers, I still think the AFC North is the best division in football. Baltimore rode Ray Rice to a dominating win over the Browns and the Ravens' defense was impressive, as usual.

This division could easily have two 12-4 teams, again.

Stock Up (special thanks to Baltimore and Pittsburgh)

AFC South

The Colts only lost to the Patriots by seven points! Unfortunately, New England got out to a 31-3 lead. Houston beat a solid Falcons' club 17-10 after losing Andre Johnson to injury with T.J. Yates behind center. Amazing resiliency.

Tennessee held off the Bills in Buffalo and the Jaguars play on Monday Night Football tonight.

Stock Steady

AFC West

What a crazy division. Tim Tebow is taking over. He actually led the Broncos to a win when their defense wasn't fantastic and only had five incompletions. The Raiders were manhandled by the Dolphins and I'm still wondering where their running game was.

How about those Chiefs? Taking full advantage of the Bears unfortunate situation. Will Philip Rivers turn it over less than two times tonight?

Stock Up?

NFC East

The Cowboys had communication and time management problems at the end of regulation and ultimately couldn't hold off the Cardinals, a team with inferior talent in overtime. Unacceptable.

The Giants gave the Packers all they could handle, in a game that looked eerily similar to the one they lost on the last weekend of the 2007-2008 regular season to the Patriots.

The Eagles are...awful and the Redskins were outclassed by the Jets in the fourth quarter.

Stock Overhyped

NFC North

Aaron Rodgers had his back up against a wall and came through when his team needed him most. What else is new?

The Lions and Bears are faltering, but you've got to feel for Chicago, a team that's dealing with injuries to their starting quarterback and runner. Lastly, the Vikings were the last victims of Tebow-mania.

Stock Dropping

NFC South

Drew Brees is playing as well as he did in the Super Bowl-winning year of 2009 and his defense is doing enough to keep New Orleans ahead.

Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Brees are in their own class. No one else is close.

The Buccaneers are imploding.

The Falcons didn't have the easiest task winning in Houston, but come on, they were facing T.J. Yates and Andre Johnson got hurt. Got to win that one, Atlanta.

Cam. Newton.

Stock Rising?

NFC West

San Francisco wrapped up the division on Sunday. Good for them. They haven't sniffed playoff air in nine years.

The Seahawks proved on Thursday they aren't horrendous and that Marshawn Lynch loves skittles. The Rams are flat out bad, how did they beat the Saints again?

Nice, late-season win for Cardinals over Cowboys in OT.

Stock Surprisingly Up
