Bold MLB Predictions for Second-Half

Yankees Take Some Cash from the Red Sox

Kevin RozellDec 24, 2008

The New York Post reported earlier today that the Yankees brought in Kevin Cash, who was non-tendered by the Red Sox a few days ago. This is an insurance policy just in case something happens to Jorge Posada. They already have a backup catcher in Jose Molina. This isn’t a major move, but it’s funny that this happened right after the Yanks stole Tex from the BoSox. The Yanks and Cash agreed to terms on a minor league contract. He will get paid $700,000 if he plays for the big league club.
