Auburn Football 2011: Tigers Projected to Meet Virginia Tech in Chick-Fil-a Bowl

Auburn looks to be heading to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl this season and will likely face Virginia Tech. This should be an excellent matchup that will give fans some high quality entertainment. The Virginia Tech loss to Clemson in the ACC Championship Game will likely be the decisive factor in bringing the Hokies to Atlanta for the bowl season.

If the matchup should occur, it would appear on paper that Virginia Tech would have a decisive edge.

Auburn is going to the Chic-Fil-A Bowl, but their opponent will be Virginia not Virginia Tech as bowl officials had hoped. The Hokies got a surprise invite to the BCS Sugar Bowl and this opened up the opportunity to the Virginia Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers finished with eight wins and four losses on the season.
