Merry Cashmas—Yanks GM Comes Through
First off, I would like to wish Happy Holidays to all of the Bleacher Reporters out there, may you and yours have a safe and very Merry Christmas.
Now lets get down to business...
Christmas came early for the city of New York and fans of the New York Yankees.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Brian Cashman is a genius. The only thing that hasn't happened for this guy lately is the fact of the matter that the players he has put on the field haven't got the job done.
Money can't buy you championships, we all know that, but sometimes you gotta spend, and spend the Yankees have.
I can almost smell the Nathan's hot dogs now as the Yankees made another splash in the offseason by adding first basemen Mark Teixeira this week.
Unless you have been living under a rock, or a boulder for that matter, you know that the Yankees have now acquired both of the biggest free agents out there, CC Sabathia and Mark Teixeria.
I would like to point out how I called the signings of all three of these individuals in an article I wrote back in September, 09' Yankees Preview: New Team In A New Home.
I am not tooting my own horn, I am just glad that my team did want I wanted them to do.
When they signed Nick Swisher and Mike Mussina retired, things were looking kinda grim. However, Christmas came early for the Yankees and their fans as three of the biggest free agents all landed in the Bronx gift wrapped for a brand new season.
The last thing on my Yankees wish list as if it wasn't long enough already, is for them to resign Andy Pettitte. Reports are that Pettitte wants $14M to make it happen and the Yankees have only offered $10M.
Pettitte was amazing for the Yankees down the stretch and always performs well when you need him too, I think they should just give him what he wants and let him go out on his own terms, not like this.
Time will tell before March hits and the Yankees head to Tampa, but as I see it right now, the Yankees are back, and back for real this time.
