WWE and the 15 Most Unlikely Answers to the "It Begins" Videos

The Doctor Chris MuellerDec 4, 2011

WWE's most recent video packages have had fans clamoring for an answer as to who they signal the return of.

Undertaker, Chris Jericho and even Vince McMahon have been mentioned as possible answers to the cryptic videos.

All this speculation tends to go in circles when it comes to WWE because half the people think they are right, while the other half think the first half are totally wrong.

Many people claim to have confirmed who the videos represent, but there is still no word from WWE as to whether or not we are right.

I thought I would take a different approach to this topic. I was starting to think of the funniest possible people these videos could be for, and the list grew so I decided to do a slideshow.

I also wanted to use this as a way to give some attention to some older wrestlers who are not talked about that much these days, guys who broke their back for the business but got little recognition for it.

This is strictly for humor and entertainment purposes and in no way represents any news or predictions. I hope you enjoy the 15 most unlikely answers to WWE's "It Begins" videos.

Braden Walker

1 of 15

Remember this guy? I didn't think so. Braden Walker was the short-lived character played by former TNA wrestler Chris Harris during his time on ECW.

He had very few matches and even less promos. He was not given much of a chance to succeed and did not even get used as a jobber.

I think that this, while as impossible as a goat suddenly singing opera, would be absolutely hilarious.

I found this truly hilarious video on YouTube from 8-Bit boy and had to include it. Enjoy the Braden Walker WWE hall of fame video.

Mark Cuban

2 of 15

The Dallas Mavericks owner is someone who has a great relationship with WWE, so how funny would it be if all this was for him to come take revenge on Sheamus?

Cuban had some balls shoving Sheamus to the ground, but he ended up getting put through a table for his troubles.

Another unlikely candidate, but still one that would shock every single WWE fan in existence.

Pete Rose

3 of 15

Pete Rose is a man who is known just as much for playing baseball as he is for betting on it. His involvement with WWE is limited, but spread out over several years.

He must be friends with someone in WWE because he has been brought in more than once for virtually no reason at all.

Rose getting tomb stoned by Kane was pretty funny to begin with, but wouldn't it be even funnier if at the same time Kane had video packages hyping his return Pete Rose was behind the "It Begins" videos and he comes out only to get tomb stoned by Kane again?

DJ Gabriel

4 of 15

Another of the short-lived ECW superstars to make the list is the dancing machine DJ Gabriel. Gabriel only wrestled for a short time on ECW, so it would be no surprise if you don't remember him.

He was a decent wrestler, but his dancing gimmick made him seem like a recycled version of an early WCW Alex Wright.

In fact, this could be a carbon copy of Wright. Take a look at this video of Alex Wright from his early WCW days.

They have the same gimmick, same attire and same leather jacket. WWE really got original with DJ Gabriel, huh? The only thing Gabriel has that Wright didn't was Alicia Fox, but she is nothing to scoff at.

With this guy being a WWE memory who has already faded he may be one of the most unlikely, and hilarious, options for the "It Begins" videos.

The Gobbledy Gooker

5 of 15

This was WWE's Shock Master moment. This was such a terrible story line that I weep for Hector Guerrero for having to wear that stupid costume.

But I have to admit that if 1/2 came and this was what the "It Begins" videos were all about, I would probably die laughing.

Seriously, I would have to be taken to the hospital and shown rotten corpses to stop me from laughing after something like this.

I will bet Vince still has nightmares about this one.

The Shock Master

6 of 15

If you didn't think the Shock Master would make the list, then you don't know funny.

This is by far the funniest moment in all of professional wrestling, in my opinion. It was so horribly done that no matter how many times I see it, I cringe and laugh each time.

If you look closely, you can see Booker T trying to hold himself back from laughing. Take a look at one of WWE's round table discussions about the Shock Master.

The Wall

7 of 15

Even WCW's biggest fans might not remember the Wall. This was a character portrayed by Jerry Tuite, who later wrestled in TNA as Malice.

This character was paired with Alex Wright, who had taken on the new name Berlin to pay tribute to his German heritage.

I guess WCW's logic was "If we have a guy named Berlin, we should pair him with a guy named the Wall and make them a team, because if there is anything our young fans remember, it is the Berlin Wall."

When I wrote this piece I was unaware that Tuite had passed away in 2003.

Jillian Hall

8 of 15

Why is everyone assuming these videos relate to a man? Why isn't it possible they are signaling the return of WWE's worst singer Jillian Hall.

While most WWE fans know her as the shrill-voiced blond who used to wrestle, some know she was in fact one of the most experienced women in all of WWE at the time.

She began training in 1998 under Finlay through his wrestling school. After five years winning titles on the indy scene, she was hired by WWE in 2003.

Her debut in 2005 had her playing the role of associate to MNM, who had a huge growth on her face, which was eventually eaten by the Boogeyman in one of the more disgusting segments I can remember.

Unfortunately, Hall was released from her contract in late 2010 after having become a trainer in FCW.

She is someone who I feel was completely wasted by WWE during her entire time with the company, and the fact that she stuck through all the bad gimmicks shows just how much she loved the business.

Be honest, if the day comes when we find out who the videos are for and you see Jillian come through singing some Britney Spears song, you will laugh won't you?

Matt Hardy

9 of 15

But he just returned to get something he left in Evan Bournes' bag.

I don't mean to make light of Evan or Matt's situation or even be mean, but I have been so disappointed in Matt Hardy I could not resist.

I wrote an article just over a year ago titled 5 Reason Why I Will Always Support Matt Hardy. In that year Matt had made me eat my words and stop supporting him.

The guy who was once the hardest working guy in WWE, even working all three brands at once at one point, has fallen so far from grace that all I can do is pray he finds his way back to being happy.

I am still a Matt Hardy fan, but I am no longer a believer that he will ever return or get his wrestling career back on track again.

I hope to god he proves me wrong.

Max Mini

10 of 15

He is coming to take revenge on Finlay by beating up his son Hornswoggle.

Come on, admit it, this would be the funniest thing ever if "It Begins" was for Max Mini.

In reality, Mascarita Sagrada, who portrayed Max Mini, is an accomplished wrestler, and I encourage you to check out his stuff on Youtube—you might enjoy it more than you would think.

Glacier

11 of 15

Back in the days of WCW there was a strange gimmick feud going on which was called Blood Runs Cold. It was WCW trying to capitalize on the popularity of Mortal Kombat by having wrestlers take on martial arts characters and wear outfits similar to those worn by the characters of the game.

One of the main people involved in this feud was a man who went by the name Glacier. He was played by Ray Lloyd.

Lloyd has a decent career in Japan and in the US before joining WCW for his third stint, when he adopted the Glacier gimmick.

At the time he had the most expensive entrance in the business with laser lights and smoke machines filling the arena. His outfit was also quite pricey, as the armor alone cost almost $35,000 dollars to create.

Lloyd even went undefeated in WCW for 12 months at one point. Since the end of his WCW career in 2001, he has been traveling the independent circuit in the US and Japan.

What kind of reaction do you think you would have if all this hype was for the return of Glacier?

Dave

12 of 15

Kevin Sullivan is someone who a lot of wrestling fans probably remember from his days in WCW as the leader of the Dungeon of Doom.

Do you remember his dyslexic brother Dave? Bill Dannenhauer was brought into WCW around 1993, but in 1994 he became what would be his most memorable gimmick.

Calling himself Evad, to play up his dyslexia, Dave would often carry a bunny to the ring and he was played as a sympathetic babyface who the crowd cared for, despite his huge physique and ability to tear a normal man apart.

His most notable matches were involving Kevin Sullivan in some way, but for some reason Evad Sullivan sticks out in my mind. I cannot say why, he just does.

Tell me some of you older wrestling fans would not be laughing your butt off if the build up ended and Evad walked through the curtain with his bunny?

Dannenhauer retired from competition in 2003 and now coaches football in Blair, Nebraska. Anyone interested in seeing some of his moments should search his name on YouTube.

King Kong Bundy

13 of 15

This mountain of a man once challenged Hogan for the title in the main event. How he has fallen since then.

Bundy was a staple in the WWF in the '80s and early '90s. His huge size and small attire gave him a unique look among the other competitors.

His most famous match was the main event of WrestleMania 2, where he and Hogan squared off for the WWF world title in a steel cage.

Bundy was unsuccessful in defeating Hogan, but would not be kept down, as he did end up defeating Hogan in 1987, albeit by count out.

Bundy is memorable for many reasons, but I think many fans would have their sides splitting if the promos all led to the return of the man who is supposedly related to Al Bundy in some way.

Brooklyn Brawler

14 of 15

Steve Lombardi is someone I have a tremendous amount of respect for. In the highly competitive wrestling industry in the '80s and '90s, Steve Lombardi stood out from the crowd.

The Yankees fan with the tattered jersey was used primarily to put over other wrestlers. He had matches with every big name in the business, from HBK to the Undertaker.

His ability to wrestler a good match while making someone else look good did not go unnoticed by WWE. Since retiring from in ring action, Lombardi has served as a road agent and mentor for WWE.

One recent event which I liked hearing about was how Hugh Jackman lost it when he first saw Lombardi backstage during his hosting gig.

To hear that someone like Jackman paid the man the respect he deserves is great. Despite his current status as an agent, I think if The Brooklyn Brawler walked out when the "It Begins" videos end it would be the funniest prank WWE has ever pulled.

Mae Young

15 of 15

She is coming back to reclaim her sexuality. Now that I have probably made you stomach upset, I will continue.

Mae Young is one of the most beloved women in all of wrestling. Her willingness to do comedy for the sake of entertainment always makes me smile.

She probably does not mind making out with all the young guys in WWE during most of these skits, either.

Young is a certified bad ass woman who would make my whole world funny again if she was the one who was being teased through these videos.

Please take a moment to watch Pat Patterson give her an amazing induction into the hall of fame speech.

There you have it folks, the 15 most unlikely and funny possibilities for who the "It Begins" videos are for. I hope you got a good laugh reading this, and please feel free to share your thoughts below.
