Tyrann Mathieu Video: Watch Honey Badger Slice and Dice Bulldogs on Punt Return
With LSU's offense struggling and its vaunted defense not living up to usual standards, sophomore cornerback Tyrann Mathieu took things into his own hands with a 62-yard punt return touchdown. The score pulled the Tigers back within three against Georgia midway through the second quarter.

It's hard to call the SEC Championship Game anything but a trap game for the Tigers. Most BCS analysts agree that they've already locked up a spot in the national title game, which makes Saturday's game virtually meaningless, and the Bulldogs are as hot as anybody in the nation.
However, Mathieu wasn't about to let his team roll over and let Georgia start dominating the game.
Even though Georgia punter Drew Butler was kicking from the back of his own end zone, he was able to boot it more than 60 yards. Unfortunately for him, the punt overshot his coverage and gave LSU's dynamic returner a lot of room to operate.
After hesitating for a split second to identify a lane, Mathieu was off to the races. He burst through small holes with the greatest of ease and made Georgia tacklers look like they were moving in slow motion as he galloped to the end zone.
Honey Badger, as Mathieu has become known, was able to break the three weak arm tackles en route to paydirt. A lot of credit needs to go to his blockers as well because by the time he reached the 20-yard line, there wasn't another Bulldog in sight besides the punter.
Mathieu's playmaking skills have been one of the main reasons LSU has been so unstoppable this season. The score marked his second punt return touchdown of the season and he's made countless big plays on defense.
You don't earn a nickname like Honey Badger without making a lot of big plays and Mathieu made the moniker proud with a huge SEC title game score.
