Muhammad Ali's Short Stay in Hospital Won't Keep Champ from 70th Birthday Party
Muhammad Ali is at home following recent hospitalization and is making plans to attend his 70th birthday party in Louisville.
Ali's friend and Louisville radio personality John Ramsey updated the public on the champ's condition and was quoted in The Courier Journal:
"[Ali is] home and well, for a person who has had Parkison's since the 1980s. He may not be going in the direction you or I like, but no one is on alert. That's the truth.
"
Ali was hospitalized on November 19.
The Star magazine reported, released online via RadarOnline.com, they learned through multiple sources that "Ali was rushed from his wife Yolanda's home in Paradise Valley, Arizona, to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center on November 19th.”
They also reported that paramedics and police "confirmed a 911 call was placed around 6.30 p.m. from a woman at the couple's 6,000 square foot estate."
The Star went onto to say that they learned Ali was reportedly unconscious at the time of the 9-1-1 call. The magazine said it had independently confirmed that the boxing legend was unconscious.
Whatever it was the caused the health concern was resolved fairly quickly. Ramsey said that, "I don't think he stayed very long."
In fact, Ramsey added that he was feeling good enough Muhammad and his wife are planning on being in his Louisville hometown for his 70th birthday celebration.
That is certainly good news after a scare like that.
