Week 13 Waiver Wire Pickups: Riley Cooper, Greg Little and 3 Other WRs to Add

Zach KruseDec 1, 2011

Looking for a receiver on the Week 13 waiver wire? Don't skim over these five names:

Riley Cooper, Philadelphia Eagles

On a short week, Jeremy Maclin is unlikely to play against the Seattle Seahawks. Cooper will again be asked to fill in, and he's done a reasonably solid job over the past two games as one of the Eagles' top receiving options. Cooper had 75 yards and a touchdown against the Giants and three catches for 71 last week versus New England.

James Jones, Green Bay Packers

Jones is your classic risk/reward waiver-wire pickup. On one hand, Jones plays in a high-paced, pass-heavy offense with one of the NFL's best quarterbacks in Aaron Rodgers. That alone gives him the potential to score touchdowns every week. But the Packers also have plenty of receiving options, and Rodgers won't force it to a guy who isn't open. So while he could put up a stat line of 100 yards and a score, he's just as likely to have two catches for 20 yards. Picking up Jones is all about playing that risk from week to week.

Johnny Knox, Chicago Bears

After being mostly an afterthought in the Bears offense for several weeks, Knox has rebounded with games of 97 and 125 yards over the past two weeks. He's also caught long touchdowns in each game. Not having Jay Cutler under center limits his ceiling, but Caleb Hanie wasn't shy in throwing Knox the football on Sunday against Oakland.

Harry Douglas, Atlanta Falcons

Douglas's fantasy value is tied in somewhat to the health of Julio Jones. The Falcons' rookie receiver is again questionable this week, so Douglas has the opportunity to steal some looks against the Texans. In the couple of games that Jones has missed this season, Douglas has stepped up, including an eight-catch, 133-yard day against the Saints.

Greg Little, Cleveland Browns

The targets are going to be consistent with Little, who is far and away the Browns' best receiver right now. He can struggle at times holding onto the football, but he sees enough targets overall for it not to be a huge concern. Even better, Little found the end zone for the first time last week against the Bengals. If he becomes a more potent red-zone weapon, Little has some big-time sleeper potential over the final couple of weeks.
