Rams vs. 49ers: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Radio, Game Time and More

T.J. McaloonNov 30, 2011

The NFC West could be decided this weekend as, the San Francisco 49ers (9-2) host the St. Louis to take on the Rams (2-9).

Coming into this year, it was the Rams who were supposed to be the team leading the NFC West not the 49ers. However, with new head coach Jim Harbaugh, the 49ers have stormed out to a huge lead in the division. With a win this week the 49ers can clinch the NFC West division.

Betting Line

According to Bodog, the betting line is San Francisco favored by 14 points. Take the 49ers, as the Rams have the worst rushing defense and the 49ers have the seventh-best rushing offense.

What's At Stake?

With a win the 49ers can clinch a spot in the playoffs. Even with a loss and a Seahawks loss they can clinch the division. However, they need a win to keep pace with the Saints for the No. 2 seed in the playoffs.

St. Louis Injury Report

DE Chris Long: Long is probable with an ankle injury. He did play last week, but he is still bothered by the ankle.

WR Austin Pettis: Pettis is dealing with a knee injury. He did play last week and caught three receptions for 45 yards. However, he is probable for the game this week.

TE Lance Kendricks: Kendricks is probable with a head injury. He did play last week and caught three passes for 37 yards.

San Francisco Injury Report

None to report this week.

Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit' Em and Sleeper

Start: San Francisco RB Frank Gore. Gore has been quiet in the last three weeks. He’s faced some good defense and has dealt with a few injuries. However, this week he will explode for a huge game, against the worst defense against the run.

Sit: St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson: Jackson has been a solid fantasy option every week. However, you have to sit Jackson this week against a great 49ers defense. On the season they are ranked first, giving up only 75 yards per game.

Sleeper: San Francisco RB Kendall Hunter. Hunter is a sneaky play this week, as the Rams are ranks 32nd in the NFL. Hunter could get a good amount of carries from Gore. The 49ers will be up big in this game, and they 49ers should have their reserves in the game.

Rams Player to Watch

WR Brandon Lloyd: Lloyd has seen his season take off since he was traded to the Rams. Since he came over from Denver, he’s had 31 receptions, 396 yards and four touchdowns.

49ers Player to Watch

RB Frank Gore: Gore will go off in this game. The Rams have already seen two running backs go off for games of 200 plus yards. Gore may not hit the 200-yard mark, but he will go off for 125 to 150 yards and a touchdown.

Key Matchup

Rams QB Sam Bradford vs. the 49ers Defense

Bradford will have to throw the ball a lot in this game for the Rams to pull off this upset. While the 49ers have the No. 1 rushing defense, they have the No. 21 ranked passing defense.

On the Hotseat

Neither coach should be on the hot seat coming into this game. Harbaugh is having a wonderful first season with the 49ers. While Spagnuolo is having a bad season with the Rams. He should survive this season, even after winning two to four games this year.

Prediction

If the Rams can throw the ball on the 49ers they can make this game close. However, Bradford is having a bad year, playing behind a hurt offensive line. The 49ers will run all over the Rams bad defense and will take control of this game.

The 49ers win this game and clinch a playoff spot with four games remaining on the season.
