WWE News: WWE Set Their Sights on Parody Twitter Accounts
As if the WWE doesn't have bigger things to worry about.
Recently news has surfaced that the boys in Stamford are keeping an eye on fake or parody WWE property twitter accounts.

"WWE is cracking down on Twitter accounts that parody their employees according to the Wrestling Globe Newsletter. Many parody accounts have already been shut down. Twitter does allow parody accounts as long as it's clearly stated on the account that they are parody and not legitimate.
The two popular parody accounts that remain as Twitter.com/dumbkellykelly and twitter.com/crankyvince. The "Dumb Kelly Kelly" account was recently blocked by the real Kelly Kelly, as she was upset with some of the things the account tweeted.
"
This is kind of ironic considering the WWE is infamous for doing parodies of celebrities or anyone in the media. One has to wonder why all of a sudden they are so bent about these accounts.
Most likely it's due to their latest social media push, as they don't want fans confusing the fake accounts for the real WWE stars.
Even if that's the case, they really need to start having a sense of humor about these things. Parody and fake accounts are all a part of the social media experience. Especially for high-profile celebs and athletes.
These accounts should be taken with a grain of salt and should not be forced to be taken down.
On a side-note, it seems to me that the WWE should focus more on their talent-tweeting spoilers and maybe they wouldn't have to rewrite scripts so often. As I reported over the weekend, Brodus Clay said he was going to "destroy" John Morrison on Raw and deleted that very tweet soon after.
Ironically, Clay's debut was once again pushed back another week.
