WWE TLC 2011: Why nWo Revival Is Coming to WWE Soon

Adam WellsNov 30, 2011

The build for WWE’s annual TLC pay-per-view has yet to begin, but there is one thing that we can all start getting excited about: The return of the New World Order.

It has been nine years since that stable first invaded WWE, which is probably a good thing because that iteration – which consisted of Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall – was a disaster of epic proportions.

Vince McMahon had no idea how to use the stable, and the fans had no interest in seeing it because Hall and Nash were not the same performers that they were in 1996.

But with the Triple H and Kevin Nash match taking place on this show -- at least that was the plan at last glance, though WWE might have changed it -- it makes perfect sense to bring back the most famous wrestling stable in recent history.

Nash’s return to WWE has been, for lack of a more appropriate word, bad. He is stumbling around the ring whenever he is supposed to do a run-in, and his promos, which used to be his greatest asset, have sucked.

But since WWE signed him to be a part of the company and have matches, we have to live with him and they have to give him something to do.

Reviving the nWo can be the saving grace that Nash needs. He can be aligned with some younger stars – I know, the idea of Nash helping younger guys is laughable – that have the potential and need that little extra something to take off.

Two names that I wouldn’t mind to see join the new incarnation would be Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler.

Bryan has been locked in a one-sided feud with Mark Henry for a long time, during which he has come off looking like more of a heel than a baby face.

Ziggler is the best wrestler in the company today and it would appear that the decision makers are starting to take notice of it.

Putting Bryan and Ziggler in the stable will give it instant wrestling credibility, and they have proven to be effective on the microphone, so Nash doesn’t have to carry them.

Nash would be the muscle, while Bryan and Ziggler will do all the work inside the ring. It will be a different sort of New World Order, but all that they really need is the name.

It will take some time before the stable is officially re-introduced but the seeds will be planted at TLC with Nash winning the match at TLC and flashing the now hand signals. To cap it off, he can spray paint nWo on his former BFF’s back.
