Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
The interesting part about this whole story is that Impacto Deportivo is sticking with their story. Why would they do that? They heard that Cashman denied the reports, but they won’t budge.
The article basically says that they are aware that Cashman denied the reports, but the deal will be done soon. They claim that Manny is in Brazil right now, and when he returns to the States, he will have a press conference announcing the deal.
So Cashman says it’s not true, while Hal doesn’t know anything about it. And we are supposed to believe this?
I’ll admit that I believed it at first, but it just doesn’t make sense right now. This doesn’t mean a deal won’t get done eventually. Once Teixeira is on the move, we will most likely see what the Yankees offer him.
It will be a whole other story if the Yankees land Teixeira instead.
