Liga BBVA: Predictions for Round 14 Fixtures of La Liga

La Liga got an early restart this week with Barcelona hosting one of the league newcomers, Rayo Vallecano and handing them a 4-0 loss.

That win puts Barcelona three points behind Real Madrid with a game in hand. Next weekend's "Clasico" will be very interesting indeed. For now, the league is continuing to take shape.

Here are the predictions for Round 14 of La Liga.

Racing Santander vs Villarreal

Both teams were losers over the weekend but need points. Racing needs to get out of the last position and Villarreal needs to climb up the table. Villarreal has not won an away game so far this season and that may not change.

Prediction: Draw 2-2

Real Sporting vs Real Madrid

Real Madrid will want to continue its dominant run and Sporting would like to get out of the bottom three. Only one team can get their way and its more than likely going to be Real Madrid.

Prediction: Real Madrid win 3-0

Barcelona vs Levante

Barcelona will face a Levante team that returned to winning ways last weekend. Every point counts now but Barcelona will face a very tough game.

Prediction: Barcelona win 3-1

Valencia vs Espanyol

Valencia is sitting right behind Barcelona and Real Madrid and will want to keep the pressure on as long as the can. They have not dropped too many points at home so far and that will not change after this game.

Prediction: Valencia win 2-0

Atletico Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano

Atletico Madrid is slowly climbing up the league table and face a Rayo Vallecano side that they should be beating at home.

Prediction: Atletico Madrid win 3-1

Real Sociedad vs Malaga

Real Sociedad and Malaga will both have confidence heading into this game. Malaga has picked  up some points away from home so far and Real Sociedad's home record isn't the best.

Prediction: Malaga win 1-0

Osasuna vs Real Betis

Real Betis has been utterly disappointing since its fast start and Osasuna has been quite solid. Osasuna has not lost a game at home so far and with their current form, Real Betis has no chance to change that.

Prediction: Osasuna win 2-1

Mallorca vs Athletic Bilbao

Athletic Bilbao lost to Granada CF in their last game at home and need to make better use of these games if they are to go up the table. Mallorca will be feeling good after its first win in its last seven games.

Prediction: Draw 1-1

Granada CF vs Real Zaragoza

Granada will be on a high after their victory last weekend and will defend their home ground with gusto. Real Zaragoza has only picked up two points away from home and will want to change that at some point.

Prediction: Draw 1-1

Sevilla vs Getafe

Sevilla has fallen off the pace a little put picked up some valuable points last weekend. Getafe players definitely got a confidence boost after their resolute performance against Barcelona. Getafe may make it a tough game but they have only managed one point away from home so far.

Prediction: Sevilla win 2-1
