WWE Rumors: Will Mick Foley Be the Undertaker's WrestleMania 28 Opponent?
WWE is not known for its long-term planning, but WrestleMania 28 appears to be the exception to that rule.
We already know the main event of that show will be John Cena against The Rock, but there is another match that fans are anticipating almost as much—The Undertaker’s.
The only problem (if you want to call it that) is that we don’t have any clue who he is going to wrestle. However, according to Dave Meltzer of WrestlingObserver.com, his opponent is set and the match is going to be a big one.

Meltzer actually said that the top three matches for the show have already been locked, but for the purposes of this article, we just want to figure out whom The Undertaker is going to wrestle.
We know that The Undertaker is going to do the show—he always comes back for WrestleMania, and you can believe that he really wants to push “The Streak” to 20-0 before calling it a career.
So who is this big opponent that Undertaker is going to work with?
For those that know his work, Meltzer is not prone to hyperbole, so if he says it is big, you can take it to the bank.
There are very few names that spring to mind about being a truly “big” WrestleMania opponent for The Undertaker.
The names that first come to mind are Triple H, Mick Foley and CM Punk.
The most likely opponent—at least to me—is Triple H. They had a great match at last year’s show, and there would be a lot of anticipation for the rematch. But I don’t consider that a “big” match, just because we have seen it twice at WrestleMania already.
One name that I keep coming back to is CM Punk. Those two haven't crossed paths in a WWE ring in a few years.
Punk is one of the hottest stars in the company, and he needs a high-profile match on the show to elevate his profile.
With Foley, it is not hard to envision him being given the spot with 'Taker. He returned to WWE in a forgettable fashion two weeks ago, but he and Undertaker had one of the best rivalries in the 1990s.
One final match between the two could create the kind of buzz that the Undertaker's (potentially) final WrestleMania match deserves.
Punk could do what Shawn Michaels and Triple H have done the last three years and carry a hobbling Undertaker to a great match to get “The Streak” to 20-0 before he hangs up his boots.
Some names that I would cross off the list include Kane, Mark Henry, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, Wade Barrett and Sheamus. None of them are good enough or big enough stars to warrant a match with Undertaker at WrestleMania.
There are not a lot of good options to choose from among the wrestlers currently in WWE, so don’t be surprised to see the company bring in an outsider to work the program with Undertaker.
It’s not going to be Steve Austin, because he is not going to work at WrestleMania this year. He has said he wants one more match, but he deserves main event status, and he won’t get that with The Rock on this show.
My vote would be for Foley just because you have the nostalgia that wrestling fans love, though I can make a strong case for CM Punk being put in the position, too.
