WWE Opinion: Advice for Alberto Del Rio After Championship Title Run
Poor Alberto. You never stood a chance, buddy.
Your whole title run was constantly overshadowed by men twice your age who were looking for the spotlight again.
When the focus actually was on the WWE Championship, everybody buried you beyond belief. Cena was the worst offender, followed by Mr. Helmsley, then the current champion, CM Punk. I will give CM Punk leeway here as he did build up your ring abilities.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
You definitely worked your ass off trying to get over with all of us by being one of the most fighting heel champions in recent history. Alas, it was all undone by the man who could care less about what happens to him—John Cena.
Just when you had finished decimating an opponent and trying to rip his arm off, there was Cena telling everyone that you weren't as good as you had just proved you were.
How were we supposed to take you seriously, when Cena was saying you got lucky and he would be relieving you of the belt ASAP?
Short answer: We didn't.
Believe me, I tried. I was, and still am, one of your staunchest supporters. You definitely have all the ability in the world. You can reclaim that title, and I would love to see it happen one day.
Which leads me to this. The "one day" I just spoke of will come when you develop a bit more depth of character. The whole Mexican aristocrat persona practically writes itself. You could spin that in so many ways it's unbelievable.
But for the longest time, we were subjected to you saying repeatedly that capturing a title was your destiny.
That's all fine and well... until you capture your first heavyweight championship. After that, it doesn't work so much anymore. You could have switched from "it's my destiny" to " I will do whatever it takes to get my title back."
It would have helped.
The ruthlessness you displayed when you lost the title the first time was spectacular, but then it was back to the whole "destiny" thing again. Speaking of ruthlessness, please don't come in honking your car horn like you are happy to be there if you are pissed and want to go straight to tearing someone up. It just seems weird.
These are just a few things that could help you out next time, Alberto. I am pulling for you, and I know that one day you will prove to everybody that you deserve to be at the top.
So, what do you think fellow Bleachers? Did I hit on the things that hurt ADR's run as champ? Did I focus on what he could have improved upon? Let me know.
