TUF 14 Finale: Does a Win over Mayhem Miller Put Bisping in the Title Picture?
On Saturday, December 3rd, Michael Bisping will meet Jason "Mayhem" Miller at The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale.
Bisping and Miller coached against each other this past season and will finally settle their differences inside the Octagon. Since winning Season 3 of The Ultimate Fighter, Bisping has become one of the biggest names in the UFC.
The English fighter has defeated fighters like Chris Leben, Dennis Kang and Yoshihiro Akiyama.
Bisping is currently on a three-fight winning streak and holds an overall record of 21-3. The only losses of Bisping's career have come to former champions Wanderlei Silva, Dan Henderson, and Rashad Evans.
A win over Miller would give Bisping a win over a high-profiled fighter, but he may still be one fight away from a title shot.
Besides the win over Leben, Bisping has never really defeated a top contender. Each time he's fought one he's come up with a loss.
Of course, things could change if he has an impressive win over Miller.
Bisping won't be next in line with a win, but his name should come up in the title picture. He has international appeal and is one of the most hated fighters in the UFC.
Selling a fight between Bisping and current UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva wouldn't be hard to do. Bisping would also be a new challenger for Silva, something that he is running out of in the division.
If Bisping finally gets over the hump and wins over a top fighter in the division, he could be well on his way to fighting for the title in 2012.
