BCS Bowl Projections: Oregon Ducks Will Fly over UCLA to 2012 Rose Bowl
The Oregon Ducks have zero excuses and should beย embarrassedย if they can't find a way to beat UCLA in the Pac-12 championship to secure a spot in the 2012 Rose Bowl.
No offense to the Bruins, but they shouldn't stand a chance.
At 6-6 and 5-4 in conference, the only reason they are even in a spot to play this game is because USC is ineligible.

Technically 10-2 and 7-2 in conference USC should be representing the Pac-12 South in this game, but they are still serving the post-season suspension that was given to them because of the Reggie Bush improper benefitsย scandal.
UCLA will represent the Pac-12 South by default, but frankly, they don't stand a chance against the 10-2 Ducks.
This is a team that has suffered losses to Houston, Texas, Stanford, Arizona, Utah and USC.
Four of those loses came against the Pac-12, which includes a 50-0 drubbing at USC the week before this title game.
This is a team that's giving up 30.8 points per game and only scoring an average of 23.2.ย
That in itself is aย recipeย for losing, but when you factor in a Oregon offense that is third in the nation scoring 45.9 points per game, it should be almost impossible.
With losses to LSU and USC as black marks on this season, the Ducks have the opportunity to at least right some of their wrongs by taking care of business against UCLA and getting to the Rose Bowl.
On paper they are the hands-down favorites, so now all they have to do is show up and prove that they deserve the spot.
I believe they will beat UCLA in a landslide victory.
