5 Teams Vince Young Could Start for in 2012
It seems like a million years ago that quarterback Vince Young was considered one of the rising young stars at his position in the National Football League, as after winning Rookie of the Year honors in 2006 with the Tennessee Titans Young fell out of favor and was jettisoned by the Titans before signing a one year deal to serve as Michael Vick's backup with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The rib injury suffered by Vick a few weeks ago has afforded Young the opportunity to play again, and the sixth year veteran has performed well enough that he may get the chance to be a starting quarterback in the NFL next season, quite possibly with one of the following teams.
1. Arizona Cardinals
1 of 5The Arizona Cardinals have $63 million reasons to keep Kevin Kolb as their starting quarterback in 2012 and only one reason to consider replacing him, possibly with Vince Young...the simple fact that Kolb hasn't played very well.
2. Cleveland Browns
2 of 5It's become readily apparent that Colt McCoy isn't the future at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, and whether it's through the draft or a free-agent acquisition such as Vince Young the Browns need to address the position next season.
3. Denver Broncos
3 of 5As beloved as quarterback Tim Tebow is by his legions of fans he's by no means a favorite of the Denver front office, and it's possible that John Elway may want a signal-caller that's actually capable of completing a forward pass.
4. Miami Dolphins
4 of 5The Miami Dolphins recent three game winning streak may have taken them out of the running for Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, but the Dolphins still desperately need an upgrade under center next year.
5. Washington Redskins
5 of 5The Washington Redskins current options at quarterback are Rex Grossman and John Beck, and I very much doubt that Daniel Snyder is going to be at all comfortable with that remaining the case in 2012, so Vince Young may well find himself making a move across the NFC East.
