Bowl Projections: Oklahoma State Will Make BCS Bowl and Prove Loss Was a Fluke

The Oklahoma State Cowboys never should have lost to the Iowa State Cyclones in overtime.

Obviously that happened and since the Pokes don’t play in the SEC, it ended their National Championship hopes.

They have a chance to redeem themselves this week against the No. 9 Oklahoma Sooners in the Bedlam series to close their season out.

The Pokes will win Bedlam and win it big and further prove that they would beat the Cyclones 99 times out of 100 if they played this season.

Then they will roll into a BCS bowl and run the score up to show just how angry they are about the upset and the blown chance to compete for the first-ever National Championship in school history.

As the No. 3 ranked team in the nation right now, the Pokes really don’t have a shot to move up and pass Alabama, who will be idle next week, or LSU, who would have to lose by what seems like a hundred points to not be considered for the BCS Championship Game.

That leaves them facing one of the other top teams in the country for their bowl, but that simply isn’t good enough for the Pokes.

With Brandon Weeden, Justin Blackmon and a number of other superstars on offense and defense, the team should be gearing up for win No. 12 this week against their most hated rivals and then heading to New Orleans on January 9 to face the Tigers.

Instead they are going to most likely be relegated to the Fiesta Bowl to take on Stanford.

The Cardinal have zero chance against this mighty offense and even future NFL superstar Andrew Luck won’t be able to win a shootout against the Cowboys.

Look for them to just pile up touchdowns to prove to both their fans and doubters that they should have played in the BCS National Championship Game and most likely would have won it.
