The Best Hockey Hair of 2011-12
NHL players are known for a lot of things.
They are known for incredible talent, great class and humility, hard hitting grittiness and perseverance.
One thing that hockey players also occasionally get credit for is having some pretty awesome hair.
Think about Tony Amonte or Jeremy Roenick, those guys were always sporting some pretty impressive hair.
So who is the pinnacle of the hairdo in 2011-2012?
Jakub Voracek
1 of 7I love this action shot.
Voracek is clearly very proud of his curly locks, and this goes back to his days in Columbus.
Clearly a hockey player that knows that he's "worth it."
Ryan Miller
2 of 7Even with the anger that he felt after being run over by Milan Lucic earlier this season, Ryan Miller's hair remained perfectly in tact.
Miller has always had some pretty impressive hair, and he continues not to disappoint.
Hair aside, I can't wait for that guy to get back out on the ice.
Gabriel Landeskog
3 of 7Gabriel Landeskog may just be a rookie in the NHL this season, but he already has the look of a seasoned pro.
His hair really does emulate his game. Powerful, and really hard to move.
Ryan Smyth
4 of 7Ryan Smyth has hair that really looks like a lion's mane.
You've gotta give it to him, he's maintained this same style of hair for a long time and it always works for him.
Nicklas Backstrom
5 of 7A hairdo that would make Peter Forsberg proud, Nicklas Backstrom really does a good job perfecting the slicked back look.
Very sleek, very smooth, just like the game that he plays.
Rick Nash
6 of 7Rick Nash is another superstar with some pretty well groomed hair.
I was actually pretty surprised to see how well-styled his hair actually is, but you can just see for yourselves when you Google "Rick Nash Hair."
When you're the face of a franchise, you've gotta look good.
Henrik Zetterberg
7 of 7Another Swede with some pretty impressive locks.
You can do whatever you want with your hair when you're as amazingly skilled as this guy is. This one really looks like an homage to Peter Forsberg as well.
When you're good, you're just good.
