NFL Week 12 Picks: Picking Winners for Every Game on the Schedule

Ryan PhillipsNov 25, 2011

Week 12 of the 2011 NFL season is already underway thanks to three Thursday games. Now the remaining list of NFL teams will take to the field on Sunday and Monday night in a slate of games that seem fairly easy to pick.

Here are my picks for each of the remaining games in Week 12.

Minnesota Vikings (2-8) at Atlanta Falcons (6-4)

The Falcons have been steadily playing better over the past few weeks as Matt Ryan has gotten things together and has Atlanta's offense clicking again. The Vikings are likely to be without star running back Adrian Peterson, who has a Grade 1 ankle sprain. The Falcons should cruise in this one.

Atlanta 35, Minnesota 14

Cleveland Browns (4-6) at Cincinnati Bengals (6-4)

The Bengals are coming off back-to-back losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, but on Sunday they get the Browns at home and should be able to right the ship. Cincinnati will ride to a win over a Browns team that is struggling in all facets.

Cincinnati 24, Cleveland 14

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-6) at Tennessee Titans (5-5)

The Buccaneers have lost four straight, but they played admirably against the Green Bay Packers in Week 11, hanging in until late in the fourth quarter. For some reason I think Tampa Bay is due for a win and showed against Green Bay that they can play on the road.

Tampa Bay 28, Tennessee 24

Carolina Panthers (2-8) at Indianapolis Colts (0-10)

The Panthers have lost three straight while the Colts, well, the Colts are just plain awful. Indianapolis is terrible on both sides of the ball, but Carolina at least has the ability to score some points. Cam Newton will guide the Panthers to a win.

Carolina 31, Indianapolis 7

Arizona Cardinals (3-7) at St. Louis Rams (2-8)

The Rams and Cardinals are both struggling and this matchup could really go either way. The Cardinals won two in a row before losing to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11, and I think they'll pull one out on the road this week.

Arizona 21, St. Louis 17

Buffalo Bills (5-5) at New York Jets (5-5)

A few weeks ago this looked like a really big AFC East matchup, but now the Bills look to be falling apart and will now have to make do without Fred Jackson for the rest of the season. The Jets should be able to take this one at home.

New York (Jets) 27, Buffalo 14

Houston Texans (7-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars (3-7)

The Texans will start their first week of life without Matt Schaub, who was placed on injured reserve this week. There will be an adjustment period with Matt Leinart taking over at quarterback, but Houston will still be able to beat a Jaguars team that has a horrible offense.

Houston 24, Jacksonville 10

Denver Broncos (5-5) at San Diego Chargers (4-6)

The Chargers are six-point favorites in this game and I have no idea why. Still, I think they will pull out a home win against a Denver team that still hasn't proven itself with Tim Tebow under center.

San Diego 34, Denver 28

Chicago Bears (7-3) at Oakland Raiders (6-4)

The Bears are rolling and the Raiders are still adjusting to no having Darren McFadden in the lineup. I think Chicago just has things more together right now than Oakland does.

Chicago 31, Oakland 27

Washington Redskins (3-7) at Seattle Seahawks (4-6)

Two bad teams face off in Seattle, but frankly, the Redskins are worse. After six straight losses, I feel confident picking against a team that will trot either Rex Grossman or John Beck out at quarterback.

Seattle 24. Washington 21

New England Patriots (7-3) at Philadelphia Eagles (4-6)

The Patriots have won five of their last seven while the Eagles are in the middle of one of the most disappointing seasons for a team that I can remember. New England should take this one easily.

New England 34, Philadelphia 21

Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3) at Kansas City Chiefs (4-6)

On Sunday night, the Steelers will face a Chiefs team that will likely be starting Tyler Palko at quarterback again. Kansas City picked up Kyle Orton this week, but I don't believe he'll be ready to play. Therefore, it will be Palko and another loss for the Chiefs.

Pittsburgh 35, Kansas City 10

New York Giants (6-4) at New Orleans Saints (7-3)

Drew Brees has his Saints rolling and I don't think Eli Manning and the Giants will be able to stop them on Monday night.

New Orleans 42, New York (Giants) 24.
