Packers vs. Lions: Green Bay's Secondary Will Torment Matthew Stafford

Matthew Stafford is going up against a Green Bay Packers secondary that gives up the second most passing yards per game in the NFL. He must be sure to shine on Thanksgiving day, right?

Not quite. Stafford has thrown more picks in his last two games than Aaron Rodgers has thrown all season. To be exact, he's tossed six interceptions in his last two outings. Given that Green Bay's defense forces more interceptions than any other team in the NFL, Stafford has reason to be cautious.

Dom Capers' defense may be surrendering a lot of yards through the air, but picking off Stafford and putting the ball in the hands of Rodgers is going to make this a long day for the reeling Lions.

The Lions have dropped three of their past five games and Stafford's onslaught of poor decisions won't help matters this time around.

The Packers are going to attack the Lions quarterback. While Calvin Johnson is uncoverable, Stafford isn't going to be able to get the better of the Packers while he's under fire.

The 23-year-old looked great against the Panthers in the second half, but there is no way he's going to throw the ball at will against the defending Super Bowl champs.

The Lions are vying for a wild-card spot and the Packers want to lock-down home-field advantage. In a rivalry game jam-packed with playoff implications, the Packers will show the entire nation why they are in a class of their own.

Stafford is going to make it easy on them by literally handing them a victory.
