TNA Impact Wrestling Preview: A Huge 8-Man Tag Match Plus Thong Thunder

Kyle SchadlerNov 24, 2011

Tonight is TNA’s Thanksgiving special and we will see a new episode of Impact Wrestling.

The company has confirmed a huge eight-man tag match, as well as two other matches.

Let’s get started!

Crimson and Matt Morgan vs. Mexican America: TNA Tag Team Titles

Crimson and Matt Morgan have been feuding since September, but are allies against Samoa Joe. They finally had a match at Turning Point and the match ended in a double disqualification.

The new man in charge, Sting, then determined that, if they couldn't decide who was the best, it was time to team up. Since they were unable to defeat each other, they could be unbeatable as a tag team.

Sting informed them that Mexican America thought there was no competition in TNA—and that was enough to get Crimson and Morgan to agree to the match.

When the match ended, Crimson and Morgan had their hands raised high as the new TNA World Tag Team champions.

Mexican America quickly invoked their rematch clause. They are getting the rematch tonight.

Can the LAX wannabes regain the title or will the new team of Crimson and Matt Morgan retain their newly won belts?

Velvet Sky and TNT vs. Winter, Angelina Love and Madison Rayne: Thanksgiving Thong Thunder Match

Your guess is as good as mine as to what a Thanksgiving thong thunder match is, but we’re apparently getting one tonight.

When you look at these teams, you have Karen Jarrett’s lackey and her preferred Knockouts on one side, and the women she hates the most on the other side.

I can only imagine what Karen has in store for the Knockouts in this match.

We could very well see Knockout’s champion Gail Kim and her challenger Mickie James get involved, as Karen attempts to make a mockery of the division.

What is a thong thunder match? Who will win? I guess we’ll find out later tonight.

Team Storm vs. Team Angle

A.J. Styles, Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam and Mr. Anderson vs. Bobby Roode, Jeff Jarrett, Christopher Daniels and Bully Ray.

Two weeks ago, James Storm was attacked. He passed out from blood loss during his rematch in the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and was technically screwed out of the match by the person who attacked him.

Last week, he went around accusing everyone—including two people on his team tonight.

Ultimately, the person revealed as the attacker was Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle.

This week, the two superstars assembled a team to one-up each other. The wrestlers they chose are conveniently feuding with one another.

Over the past few months, we’ve seen Anderson and Ray and Hardy and Jarrett going at it. In recent weeks, RVD and Daniels and Styles and Roode have started their rivalries.

All of the faces, but Styles, have the momentum in their respective feuds. It will be interesting to see which group gains the upper hand—not only for themselves, but their team leaders as well.

Who has assembled the superior team? Will James Storm and Kurt Angle get involved? Those questions and more should be answered tonight.

Tonight’s Thanksgiving special shows great promise.

Impact Wrestling has been very good over the past few months and there are no signs of it slowing down.

Tune in tonight to see what TNA has in store for a day of thanks, turkey, football and pro wrestling!
