WWE Tag Team Division: Should the Usos Be More Involved in the Title Picture?

The Doctor Chris MuellerNov 23, 2011

The Usos are WWE's only tag team that was hired, trained and brought to the main roster as a tag team. Many years ago, this was a very common thing. Since then, things have changed drastically.

What was once my favorite part of wrestling—tag team matches—has become the most ignored division in WWE. I would even say the Divas division gets a little more attention than tag teams do.

Over the last year, WWE has made more of an effort in the tag team division. While it is not a huge improvement, they are at least trying.

Triple H is said to be one of the more instrumental people in getting tag teams put together and pushed. They paired Kofi Kingston together with Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger with Dolph Ziggler and The Miz with R-Truth to combine what I feel are three pretty good tag teams.

Swagger and Ziggler are both very accomplished amateur wrestlers who work well together. They also have blonde hair which I guess means they match or something.

Kofi and Bourne are both great high-flyers, who always provide a bit of excitement and energy in every match they are a part of.

Miz and Truth are both paranoid egomaniacs, which makes for some great promos between the two. I think I actually like their team the most out of the three.

It's too bad that Truth was suspended or else this team could have been one of the more interesting things about Raw.

With all these good teams being developed, I have to wonder why the Usos are not at the forefront of the tag team division and holding the titles.

They are both good in the ring—not great, but good—and have the most unique entrance I have seen in years. Their tribute to their culture during their entrances helps them stand out from the rest of the teams.

The Usos are the sons of former WWE superstar Rikishi and related to many other greats to come out of the Anoa'i family.

Together, the Usos make up a team that is exciting to watch. I feel like WWE are wasting the chance to have a tag team with more of a pedigree than most of their other superstars who can actually perform.

I have been watching the Usos for a while now. I think they are ready to go to that next level and start getting more time on Raw and SmackDown.

When Bourne returns from suspension, we will have to see if WWE takes the titles from he and Kofi at once or if they give him a chance to redeem himself while still champion.

If they do decide to have Air Boom drop the titles upon Bourne's return, I hope it is to the Usos. However, since both teams are faces, I doubt this will happen. As a result, it will probably be to Ziggler and Swagger. Once again, this is only if WWE decides to have Air Boom drop the belts.

Since they did not have Bourne drop the title before going on suspension, I think we may see he and Kofi hold on to them for a bit longer. Either way, the Usos need their chance.

They have been on the roster for a little bit now and still have not had a breakout program since they feuded with the Hart Dynasty. I will not even get into how upset I am that WWE broke up the Hart Dynasty and released DH Smith.

I hope the Usos keep using their time on NXT and Superstars to their advantage. I think their time is near and they will soon be more involved in the tag team division.

If the WWE wants to beef up the tag team division, they don't have to keep mashing two singles stars together. They can use a team which is established and ready to go right now.

What do you think? Do the Usos needs more TV-time in the tag team division and should they be tag team champions?
