Week 12 Waiver Wire: Caleb Hanie and Others to Add
Now that Jay Cutler is out for what looks to be the rest of the regular season, the Chicago Bears must make their final playoff push with Caleb Hanie behind center.
Think that makes Hanie a must-add for your fantasy roster? I do.
I'm not expecting Hanie to fire the ball all over the field like Cutler, but the Bears don't face any elite defenses down the stretch, and you know that he'll also have Matt Forte has a check-down option.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Even this week, the game against the Raiders isn't an intimidating one. Oakland has the 20th-ranked secondary in the NFL.
Grab him.
A solid insurance policy.
There are a few other players you could look for on your waiver wire to add this week.
Kevin Smith, RB Detroit Lions
The most obvious free-agent acquisition of the week. Smith exploded against the Panthers, and the Lions are in desperate need for a consistent runner.
He's a big, punishing back and playing with an explosive aerial offense led by Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson.
Smith could be in for a productive stretch that could sneak you into the fantasy playoffs.
A matchup against the Vikings in Week 14 is the only real stout run defense he faces.
Nate Burleson, WR Detroit Lions
Yes, I'm advising you add a running back and a wide receiver from the same team.
Calvin Johnson is still drawing double-coverage and safety help, leaving Burleson with single-coverage for the majority of the game.
He is averaging more than six receptions on nearly eight targets in Detroit's last three games, and he is up against some very porous secondaries to end the season—the Packers this week, the Saints in Week 13, the Vikings in Week 14, the Raiders in Week 15 and the Chargers in Week 16.
A smart add, especially in PPR leagues.
