Week 12 Waiver Wire: Kevin Smith and 5 Additions for Your Playoff Push
The fantasy leagues are coming down to the last couple of weeks of the regular season depending on your format. Some of you got potentially horrible news this week if you were owners of the likes of Jay Cutler, Adrian Peterson, Fred Jackson or possibly even Greg Jennings.
You're gong to need a new player to plug in to save your season. Here are five players that could be available on your waive wire to plug into your roster. Here's a hint though.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here's the thing on Smith: If you're carrying two tight ends or DSTs, drop one and pick him up, whether you need him or not. Why let someone else get him? He's probably not going to be getting the same kind of 140 yards and three TDs that he got last week again, but he'll be producing somewhat as the feature back.
He'll be getting the most touches of anyone in the Lion backfield going forward and on that he's worth something. Whether it's points for you or just not for someone else, he'll be getting something. He is available in 99.3 percent of ESPN leagues.
CJ Spiller
With Fred Jackson going down, Spiller looks to take the rock in his place. The problem is that even Jackson was dipping in production the last month. While he was still getting significant yards, Jackson hadn't seen the end zone since Oct 16. It's not like Spiller has been vulturing them either.
Still someone has to carry the rock and Spiller is the lead candidate in Jackson's absence. Spiller is available in almost half of ESPN leagues.
Vince Young
Young did better than expected in leading the Eagles to a win with a late drive against the New York Giants. He had 248 yards passing and two TDs along with three picks last night. He adds a significant chance of gaining yards on the ground (though he didn't last night) which are worth about two-and-a-half times as much as yards through the air in fantasy land.
If Vick is out of for an extended period of time, he'll be worth holding on to. He is available in 96 percent of ESPN waiver wires.
Jerome Simpson
Simpson was flat-out huge yesterday with AJ Green being absent, grabbing eight catches for 152 yards. Whether Green is back or not next week, it bodes well for the Bengals and for Simpson.
Suddenly Green is not the only threat. It does indicate one thing though about Dalton: He needs to get better at checking through his progressions. Simpson is available in 68 percent of ESPN leagues.
Torrey Smith
Smith caught six catches for 165 yards yesterday. Inexplicably he is still available in 57 percent of leagues. Why? If you need a fantasy receiver, just pick him up. Yes, he might be hit and miss, but his upside buries that of anyone else on the wire.
