NFL's Biggest Frauds from Week 11

Gary DavenportNov 20, 2011

Another week of thrilling NFL action is winding down as the Eagles and Giants take the field on Sunday night, and across the league great performances were turned in by any number of teams and players.

However, others came out and not only wilted under expectations, but put up such stinkers of a game that they should be investigated for defrauding season ticket holders.

It's those woeful showings we both celebrate and denigrate here, with the biggest frauds of Week 11.

1. Rex Ryan: Head Coach, New York Jets

1 of 7

I thought New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan was supposed to be some sort of defensive mastermind? (just ask him, he'll tell you)

If he's such a guru, why couldn't he figure out a way to stop a game-winning drive by the Denver Broncos that featured an offense invented in 1653?

2. Buffalo Bills

2 of 7

After getting pasted (again) by the two-win Miami Dolphins 35-8, not only are the Bills playoff hopes fading faster than Herman Cain's presidential aspirations, but the Bills may not even get the sixth win they need to become bowl-eligible.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars Run Defense

3 of 7

The Jacksonville run defense was a respectable 14th in the National Football League before allowing rookie running back Chris Ogbannaya of the Cleveland Browns, who had done nothing to this point as a pro, to gash them for 115 yards and a score this week.

4. Philip Rivers: QB, San Diego Chargers

4 of 7

I wonder how long it will be until San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers goes to the old Vinny Testeverde "color blindness" excuse to explain why he's throwing so many interceptions.

5. John Skelton: QB, Arizona Cardinals

5 of 7

Earlier this week radio pundits in the Phoenix area were debating whether there was a quarterback controversy brewing in the desert.

After today's 6-for-19 nightmare from Skelton, the only controversy is how one front office can stockpile so many lousy quarterbacks.

6. Rolando McClain: MLB, Oakland Raiders

6 of 7

It would be nice if I could say that Oakland Raiders middle linebacker Rolando McClain's paltry three total tackles today was an aberration, but the simple fact is that the 2010 first-round pick has been more or less a fraud his entire career.

7. Aaron Rodgers: QB, Green Bay Packers

7 of 7

C'mon man!

299 lousy passing yards!

ONLY three touchdown passes?

AND he threw an interception.

He should be ashamed of himself.
